Located near the historic city of Samarkand, the Imam Bukhari Museum is dedicated to the life, works, and spiritual legacy of one of the most revered scholars of the Islamic world, Imam Bukhari. Outdoor Factory proudly undertook the concept design, interior planning, exhibition layout, and implementation of this distinguished cultural project. The museum harmonizes architectural elegance with modern storytelling technologies, transforming tradition into a contemporary experience. The design concept draws inspiration from Imam Bukhari’s intellectual virtues — purity, wisdom, and light — reflecting them through spatial simplicity and symbolic geometry. Traditional Islamic patterns were reinterpreted with a modern architectural language, while the central courtyard symbolizes humility and the spiritual path of knowledge.
The exhibition includes:
• Digitally restored manuscripts and rare writings,
• Interactive panels depicting Imam Bukhari’s scholarly journey,
• Audio-visual storytelling enriched with sound and light,
• and immersive rooms that evoke reflection and emotion.
Completed within a condensed timeline, the project stands as both a symbol of Uzbekistan’s cultural vision and a representation of Turkey’s creative and technical expertise in museum design.
